Radeon 7770 HDMI audio output issues

I've been attempting to set up my Radeon 7700 to output via HDMI to an surround system and have been unable to get any audio to come out of the card. All I am getting is that my displays do not support audio as if it's a DVI to HDMI connection.
Any help resolving the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Of course you can output audio from your HDMI & your DVI ports on your Radeon HD 7770. Just make sure you have installed the HDMI audio driver when you install the Catalyst suite.
