Asus m5a99x evo + asus radeon hd 7850 = no post

Asus M5A99X EVO
Asus Radeon HD 7850
AMD Phenom II X4 965
4Gb Corsair 1866 Vengeance
Rosewill 1000W PSU

When I turn on the PC, the VGA LED light comes on, no other indicator is on (besides power) and I get no post. However, when I unplug the 12V 6pin connector from the VGA card, I get a post error for no VGA card being detected.

I think it is either a bad PSU, or bad vid card...is there any way to test to test whether the 6pin connectors are bad?

Well .... most cards come with 1 molex to PCIE adapter ... you could try plugging in the molex cables and using that to plug into your card.

Your question is lacking in information. A No Post situation could be caused by a lot of things. Was the rest of your system set up and working and you added in the card and now it isn't? Or did you recently add in something else? Walk us through what the setup was pre post error and ... post post error.
