I recently finished my computer build and i plugged the hdmi cable from my gigabyte 7850 oc to the tv(since most ppl said its better than plugging from mobo). the problem is that all the output words and images are blurry. so i switched over to the mobo hdmi (intel 4000) and the image was crisp clear. how can i still use my 7850 and have clear images? thanks :pfff:

specs: win8 64 bit
intel i5 3570k
gigabyte radeon hd 7850 oc version
asus p8z77-v lk

Check your scaling settings under My Digital Flat Panels in CCC.
Also check your TV's manual to see if a particular HDMI port should be used for PC input. Most TVs have a preference and it can make a difference in quality.

Try adjusting overscan/underscan settings, play with them. That will most probably fix the issue.

it just made the screen fit in completely in the monitor, but it didn't make it more clear. is it the compatibility issue or my gpu issue? what im suspecting now is that the hdmi port on the gpu is corrupted or something like that.

Shouldn't be like that. I doubt a port can get corrupted. Mind taking a pictures of your TV showing off the blurriness?

Try reducing sharpness setting on the TV. It tends to blur text.

What about before booting to Windows? Is BIOS blurry as well?

I'd try reinstalling drivers. It might help.

Ok, I just reinstalled the drivers. The screen flashed a couple of times and the blur is still there...

That's a really strange issue. Since you have just built the PC, would you mind trying to reinstall windows? That will eliminate all software related problems there can be. If that fails, we'll know the issue is hardware related.

Ok, I guess I'll go exchange mine for another gpu. Also, are all the Gigabyte 7850s like this?
