Hello people!

Yesterday my graphics card crashed. It is giving colors like a NES game crashed and it does it before Windows is even loaded. Safe mode woks. conclusion: I need another graphics card.

- I want it to be better than my current one(9800GTX club3d)
- I don't game that much anymore.
- I don't want a card that is ready for the future, I want a card that still fits with my current hardware.

My current specs: (it's a 2008 pc)

-MSI platinum combo P35 motherboad
-4 gigs of DDR2 RAM
-Geforce 9800GTX
-Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GhZ

Which graphics card do I need? I don't have a brand preference.

I always try max, but I'm not a grapics whore. My screen res. is 1920x1080. I can run a game like Crysis 1 (heavier specs than crysis 2due to directX10 I believe) onmax, except for AA.

I'm a casual gamer. For example I play and buy like 2 or 3 games a year, I'm a huge fan Mass Effect for example and I'm still able to play Mass Effect 3 at max settings.

Radeon 7770 will be good if you want all games on 1080p Low-med.

Radeon 7850 will be good if you want all games on 1080p High.

Or else get a GTX 660 or Radeon 7870.
I personally suggest you the 7850 because it is future proof if you don't go for High graphics and it will let you play games on Med-High every time.
