Hey, I recently bought and constructed a computer for my girlfriend. everything went fine during construction, and installation of windows, but after about 5 minutes of it being on, it lags, and slows even the browser down so that i cant even close it if i wanted to. This is my second computer, so this hasn't happened to me before and i'm not sure if it's something i did, or if it's software or hardware related.

Sounds like the behavior of a computer infected with a virus. Have you run a virus/malware scan?

+1
Highly unlikely to be a virus unless the first sites you visit are just bad lol.
Check your temps. Kinda sounds like the Proc might be throttling down to cool down to me.
