GTX 480 vs GTX 660 (non-ti)

What I have seen is that GTX 660 is at level with GTX 580, so it will kill GTX 480.
(Can't remember if it was the TI version)

GTX 480 is still a great card, but it gets too hot and uses too much power!

Both TI or Non-ti Defeat 580 in some(most) games.

well, a gtx480 is a real power hog for a single graphics card..
at half of it, gtx660 will give you slightly faster performance..
even maybe you'll not notice the differences of performance between both of card...
but your electricity bill will tell it.. 

there's no point to get fermi cards right now..almost failure generation from nvidia (except 460 class)..
Except you've got very low price of this card, then leave it..

GTX 660 it about the speed of the gtx 580 so it will smoke 480

480 beats 660 in metro2033 full hardcore extreme settings..

It will be at similar performance levels. GTX 660 might be faster by around 3%.

480 is still an extremely powerfull gpu and i think on par with 660

Hey you youngster guy there's a fight going on with my freind he's still not believe that 660 is better then 480 so i need more people to tell him that which is better.

480 gets way too hot and loud. 660 is better by a little say 200 of my friends and I. thats 201 more votes for 660

If GTX 660 is on par with GTX 580, which it is, then the old GTX 480 has no chance. It's still a decent card, I agree. But it isn't on the same level of GTX 660.

GTX 580 is faster than GTX 660. Look at the graph I have posted.

GTX 660 has higher relative GPU performance by a MARGAIN, check the link.

I wrote, "on par". It doesn't mean it's faster, but at the same level. 6% difference is so small, and do you believe that from the GTX 480 to the GTX 580 the performance only increased by 6%, I don't think so.

On that link, GTX 660 is actually below GTX 580! Check it again. Plus, it's Nvidia's advertisement and synthetic benchmark. It doesn't count.

Compare stock GTX 660, not the MSI overclocked version. GTX 480 has same performance level as GTX 570 and it even outperforms it sometimes. There, you get GTX 580 10% faster than both GTX 480 and GTX 660.

GTX 580 is 11.1% (100 / 90) faster than GTX 480. Now looking at the above graph, GTX 580 is 11.58% (106 / 95) faster than GTX 660. That means GTX 660 has very similar performance to GTX 480!

the 480 is powerful, but it is old, the 660 ( Ti or non Ti ) will beat it easily because their enhanced new kepler architecture ....not by much though.....

Guyz why r u so confused the 660 with the 310.54 beta driver performs exactly as the 580 and even with or without this driver its gonna beat the 480 in every thing (FPS, Power Consumption , Temp.) undoubtely

and more stable and enhanced drivers r gonna be released leading to a better performance in games !!!
