40-60 fps Minecraft 560 Ti

Hi, I got myself a 560 ti and this card is amazing! I saw benchmarks on youtube of people getting 110fps average with max settings (32xAA,16AF,8xSSAA) but when I run mine on the same settings I get only ~40fps and with all turned off I get 60-80fps. My motherboard is pcie x16 1.0 but it can run crysis 2 ultra dx11 ultra textures so I don't think bandwith is really an issue.

Do you have Fancy textures on? I can't remember which it is but in the video settings there's like fast and fancy and I think one other. Haven't played minecraft in awhile. Also your field of view I think will have a issue with frame rates. I could be wrong but I'm only thinking of stuff that I can remember.

i5 650 3.2ghz 4.2turbo dual core, quad with HT. 8gb ddr3 1333mhz. default texture pack. pcie 16 1.0

When was the video made? Ever since 1.3 (or somewhere around there) the fps has dropped significantly. My friend has a crap laptop that ran MC 1.2 at 20 fps with optifine. As soon as he updated to 1.4, it dropped to like 10, same settings, with optifine

So it is Minecraft's fault

These people you saw may be running another version or running optifine (which I recommend).

with optifine its stable at ~58 but no higher

Well then it comes down to 1. how much RAM do you have? 2. How much stuff have you built/changed. 3. The version they were playing. 4. Your optifine settings.
