Old mobo + win7, need driver help.

Hi all, I have an Abit NF7-S2.
I know it's ancient in computer years but I NEED to get it working.

The built in Lan and sound are the only things not recognized by Windows 7.

I was able to scrounge up all the drivers but of course they don't work with Windows 7.

If I could write my own I would

Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?

Go to nvidia.com and get the nForce 2 legacy drivers for Vista (32 or 64 bit). These should do the trick to run on Win 7.

And what drivers did you try, and what exactly do you mean that they don't work with Windows 7?

Tried auto and manual install and it still won't recognize.

Win7 Pro 32bit, then run the original drivers in compatibility mode (cannot be done with home version).

Any particular reason why you cannot move the data/programs to a different machine? Or throw the original OS (XP I think) on it?

I never thought about browsing the original mobo install cd and running compatibility mode. That did the trick, thank you
