Hello good people!

I have an option of buying a used EVGA 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 (SC Superlocked) 1536MB GDDR5 for $230 or a new MSI Radeon HD 7950 OC 3GB for $290.

Both cards come with warranty.

I know the money difference is not huge, but I am a student, so proportions are shifted :p

Thoughts?

Go with the 7950 as it is the new technology for graphic card, As a student money is always a concern but your build also need to last a few years except if you got more budget to come that's another story.60$ different is acceptable because the 7950 will last longer than 580 for future gaming and application to come. Closed your eyes and make the sacrifice for 60 bucks...trust me u won't regret it.....hope's this help ^_^

The 7950 is probably the best bang for the buck card on the market right now. Go with that

Once overclocked to its max, the 7950 will practically be twice as strong as the 580. $60 is easily worth it!
