Pioneer DVD-Rom DVD-115 and XP

Just upgraded to XP, and have been trying to get my Pioneer DVD drive to play DVD's. I am using Mediamatics DVDExpress, with the XP upgrade download. The program keeps telling me that there is a problem with the region setting of the player. However, when I check the properties, it tells me that I am set to Region 4 (as I wish to be), and that I have 4 changes left. The DVD's I am trying to use are region 4 (I have tried several). But it still seems to think there is something amiss with the drive itself. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? Anything would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

 1. When I installed my pioneer 16x I had to set region codes several times. I can't remember exactly but it was something like set it once for the drive once for the decoder card and once for the software. Since you have 4 tries left you might as well try one more time to set the code. See also region free tools at http://www.doom9.net
