Just upgraded to XP, and have been trying to get my Pioneer DVD drive to play DVD's. I am using Mediamatics DVDExpress, with the XP upgrade download. The program keeps telling me that there is a problem with the region setting of the player. However, when I check the properties, it tells me that I am set to Region 4 (as I wish to be), and that I have 4 changes left. The DVD's I am trying to use are region 4 (I have tried several). But it still seems to think there is something amiss with the drive itself. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? Anything would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

When I installed my pioneer 16x I had to set region codes several times. I can't remember exactly but it was something like set it once for the drive once for the decoder card and once for the software. Since you have 4 tries left you might as well try one more time to set the code. See also region free tools at <A HREF="" target="_new">;/A>
