Air Cooling Vs Liquid Cooling

What would you recommend for this set up?

MOB - ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M
CPU - Intel Corei5 3570K
GPU - GeForce GTX 670
RAM - Corsair 2x 4GB Vengeance Blue
SSD/HDD - Samsung 830 / 1TB Seagate barracuda
PSU - Corsair Enthusiast Series TX850
Case - Raidmax Aeolus VL Case

IMO, liquid cooling only provides a slight advantage over the performance of todays air coolers. I have used liquid cooling and now use air cooling. Liquid cooling is just not worth the hassle. As long as you have good air flow through your case, air cooling works great.

would a Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler be enough?

The Noctua is a good cooler. You just need to look at the dimensions. Pay particular attention to how the cooler will relate to the memory slots. You may have buy low profile memory to clear the cooler.

Do you mean liquid cooling such as a closed loop cooler from Corsair/Antec, or actual watercooling?

There is quite a difference- especially when considering heavy overclocks and GPU cooling.

It depends greatly on the missing question?

Are you intending overclocking the 3570K?

If you have no overclocking intentions the stock air cooler will be just fine, but if you had no overclocking intentions, why buy a K in the first place?

So what are your intentions?

The answer is water will always cool better than air. Air is just cheaper (by a small margin)

And if you are OCing at all, you will want the coolest temps that you can get.

That said, you don't have to go with custom loops. You can get factory sealed water cooling solutions like the H60,H80,H100 from Corsair which are not as cool as custom loops but better than air.

If you are on a tight budget, air is a better value, but you will probably not be able to OC past 4.3-4.5 or about 1.35v.

If you want performance, go with water. You can get pretty good rebates if you wait/shop around
