I5 3570k w/o Graphics Card or i3 2120 w/ gpu?

Okay, quick question, doing a build, £400 budget, and I am deciding to either go for the basic dual core worse than my OCed Core 2 Duo E4400 @ 3.44ghz (don't ask me how I did it) but with a MSI Radeon 7750 or An Intel i5 3570k but using the stock graphics for a while until I get a MSI Twin Frozer III.

Both thingy's would be using a Z77 mobo, the MSI Z77-G41.

And if you have any other ideas of £400 gaming builds, Feel free to tell me. Im always up for suggestions.

Thanks!

  1. an i3 will handle any video card you can really combine with it. It will play games just fine. I can max settings in all the games I play with my i3 and 7870.

Do this. I assume you have that motherboard already.
  2. Hi,

I don't actually have the motherboard already! Haha. 2 Quick questions, I am guessing you have this build, what kind of frame rates are you getting on games? Really, Im into every valve game and Garry's mod.

Also, would a CX-430w run this, especially as my actual budget is £410 max (hooray for me) and even though its a 430w, its a reliable PSU, right?

    Thanks!

Best i can do with a motherboard included. If you want to be cheaper then you have to drop from a 7850 to a 650ti.

The 7850 will get you high-ish settings in new games and the 650ti should get you medium/high settings.
  4. Briliant! Scrap my build, I hope you don't mind me using this with just a change of HDD cause I have a 500GB sitting on my desk! I hope you don't mind me using it! Thank you!
  5. Yeah I put this together for your needs man. This isn't my exact build or anything. It will serve you very well. Always glad to help!
  6. go with the i3 and a 7850.
i hav got a i5 3570k with 7770 but trust me u need a powerful gpu rather than a cpu.For gpu intensive games llike crysis 3 and upcoming game gta 5
u will need a better gpu like the 7850 and hyperthreading of the i3 2120
