Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone could help me. I have recently been experiencing problems whilst playing games in particular. The computer would randomly go to a black screen, play a looping sound and eventual crash to restart where the computer would the boot itself up again. The initial card I had was an nVidia 550ti and I've had it just under a year. After much hopeless scouring across the internet, I found out that my card was probably overheating - a consequence being the BCCODE 116 error. I checked temperatures of the graphics card whilst playing games and it never reached over 60c - I have adequate cooling and case cooling from the Coolermaster HAF case. Not convinced, I sent it back to the shop I had it under warranty with. After a week of testing, they reckoned it was a broken graphics card so I decided to pay the difference and upgrade to an nVidia GTX 670. I don't know if it is coincidence, but it has happened again tonight playing League Of Legends - it surely can't be the graphics card as it is brand new? I have installed, clean re-installed the drivers twice. I have an MSI P67A-G45 motherboard and read in someone else support thread that they updated their BIOS to the latest version and it solved a similar problem. Would this work? I know the risk of updating the BIOS, so thought I would ask here before I went ahead with it all. Thanks in advance for your help.
