Xfx 7700a vs gig hd

I've purchased all my parts except for the GPU. I wanted to purchase this...

http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=68499&vpn=GV-R777OC-1GD&manufacture=Gigabyte

but it seems to be out of stock. Once back in stock I'm worried that it will not remain on sale. Any thoughts about how this might compare?....

Also, I get a free copy of far cry 3 which is nearly a 40 dollar value, so its price will really be about 80 dollars in comparison with 115 for the gigabyte.

Would you say that it will perform better or worse than the 7700 i'm waiting for? my budget stands for the GPU at 140 max. but if you guys have any other recommendations I'd really apprecaite them :)

sorry to bother but why should that be? the first one listed has a higher core clock by .1mhz?

also, just to confirm, this will not have problem working with my MOBO and CPU?

    AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core

    ASRock 970 Extreme3 ATX AM3+
  3. Yes the xfx has better oc factory, but the asus overclocks better manually and it's a better brand with 69.99$ game value and a lower price (if excluding rebate).
But either of those two will be good, but the xfx is out of stock so i pointed out the asus.
As for compatibility there ain't no problems by brands, what you'll need is a pcie slot 3.0/2.0/1.1/1 x16 and a decent psu with 6 pin pcie connector.
  4. I just recommended the SAME ASUS HD7770 linked above after comparing the various options.

Also, don't simply get the CHEAPEST card available. There's a difference in cooling/noise as well as quality. This ASUS appears very good in both respects.
