Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums,
I would look to get 2x4GB ram modules so you do not lose the dual-channel feature of the ram - the rest looks to be sound
What are using for a power supply? Optical drive? Case?

For gaming you need a better card(that is if it the resolution of your monitor is 1080p), that is for BF3, it's recommended going with a 7850 or higher if possible.
Also change the FX-6100 for the FX-6300, which is the current updated generation(and the best) of six core cpus from amd.
Also like mentioned get a dual channel kit.

I would suggest you to get 2x4GB ram instead of 1x8GB
Throw in some extra bucks and get a stronger graphics card.
And if it's still in your budget, get a SSD.

The 7770 will be all right for gaming and overclocks pretty well 90% stable given your settings, I have one in the rig I keep in my bedroom it can play games ok keep in mind that it's not a 680/7970 so you wont be playing with full AA or any higher than 1600x900, what is your absolute budget for this rig we would be able to help out a lot more knowing the price range? you probably want to grab a ssd aswell atleast a 60GB to run windows and cs6 or what ever video editing software your using too

Well I bought a 60 GB corsair force 3 a year or so back for $64 and it's suprisingly much faster and cheaper than my 120 GB intel 330 series was, corsair makes pretty good SSD's, but if its going to be for sure between those 2 samsung ssd's have a pretty good reputation.

Nice build you did for your friend. I think it would be great for this guy also :)

Maybe upgrade to a 650TI 2GB for him if possible for double the CUDA cores from the 650 for better video editing and more VRAM for faster video editing.
