Hi everyone, just wondering, im getting an msi gtx 680 4gb, and i wanted to know does the brand of the motherboard effect the gpu performance wise? i.e. msi brand gpu's perform better with msi motherboards or if i bought an asus motherboard and it decreased the msi's gpu performance? Btw, the motherboards im deciding between are the asus sabertooth x79 or the msi Big Bang-XPower II? Answers are appreciated!

It shouldn't. The brand of the GPU is more important in terms of performance, but most GTX 680's seem to be stock as it is.

Nope, not at all.
You should not be restricted by this at all.
For me in that one, its gotta be the ASUS.
