#2 hands down :)  i7 is overpriced for just hyperthreading which cant be utilized for games

GPU power is more important

btw is it gaming pc right? #1 is for video rendering pc

If gaming is the sole purpose, then the second one. I7 doesn't perform better in games at all vs i5, but a better graphics card will. If you are going to be doing other non-gaming CPU intensive tasks, then maybe the first one could make sense. The 660 Ti is still a very powerful graphics card.

Thanks! Are these combos worth $940 is the question though. I'm new to computers in general. Recently realized its kind of a passion.

^ Agreed. A computer as fast as the one you are building is a good deal at less than a grand.

Oh! two more things the only 3d modeling I do is in AutoCAD. Which isn't very much. Thank you for everything. And I was wondering if these could run BF3 on medium high/high?

Wait you're only going to have a single 64GB SSD? That'll run out fairly quickly after you install an OS.

Oh definitely left out a bunch of details on accident. This is for gaming mostly. And wondering if I need a better cooling system.

I work at Samsung so I get good deals on SSDs. I have a 256 gig at home.
