I have downloaded some firmware for my LG DRD-8160B to make it multiregion, but I dont seem to be able to get the firmware to work. I downloaded a missing dll file that I needed but it still isnt working am I meant to put the firmware into a system file or some other file for it to work properly.

Well it looks like that link doesnt work no more. The site was recently hacked it says so this could be the problem. Are you able to tell us what we would have to do to have a region free XP

and yeah...seems that their site has been hacked.
i guess keep checking back and see if they got it back up...other than that, and the link i just put, i dont know.

also, there are a few links at the bottom that MIGHT help.
sorry if i cant really help! i just dont have the exp with dvd regions...
The one time I've ever used it, DvdKiller worked perfectly. Under Win2k.
Haven't tried it with XP. But Hidden Kitty, Crouching Ring-Eater worked perfectly in Catoneze/Chineze/Japaneze/Koreaneze...whatever it was in. I have no idea what was printed on the label.
