hello i just want to know what is the best performance card i can get on PCCG?

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPa... (the list)

My budget is a max on $280, i was thinking of the http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i... (a little over budget) because its a more modern one but my friend said its the cheap version, i will be playing on at 1080P and on a single monitor.

Main games: borderlands 2, far cry 3, black ops 2.

Good choice. That's the best card you can get in that budget range.

from what i understand the core speed is most important, and 880MHz seems low compared to other cards i can get at a lower price range

Do you have a nice PSU to back up your card? At that budget a HD 7950 is a good choice but i haven't heard much of that brand before. Though it looks like a nice design with dual fan.

No, core speed is not most important. Benchmarks are. And HD 7950 performs the best at that price point.

You can compare the core speed between same cards, like HD 7950 and another HD 7950, but you cannot do that between different cards.

Ok so if i look up benchmarks for a 7950 all the different brands will be closely the same?
