Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked a million times but I have a HP desktop which
has a Wireless LAN installed.(I have never used it)

I have just got a HP notebook and I want to be able to access the internet
etc from both computers ,maybe at the same time.

What do I need to do this. The notebook has a wireless LAN installed as well.

Can I just set up the existing LAN on the desktop or do I need to get a
router or something?I have cable.

Thanks in advance.

You need a wireless router that connects to your cable modem.

It's so much easier to suggest solutions when you don't know too much about
the problem
