Internet connection

Hello,
my wireless router wont allow me to connect to the internet through my xbox but alows me to connect with router its self, i dont understand why not as its aloowing me connection on my laptop plus moble ????

It might be a silly question but have you got a wireless network adaptor in your xbox? If not use your ethernet cable.

Try pressing Xbox button > Settings > Network Settings > Wired or Wireless > Configure Network > Additional Setting > Restore to Factory Settings then test connection! Your best bet would be use an ethernet cable though less lagging in partys and games!
