This will be my first post on the tom's hardware forums, but i have been told that it is great!
Now, i built a desktop computer around two year ago and i sold it not to long ago, i ended up purchasing a laptop. I am well aware that if you want to play games you will be better off with a desktop, but i would like to try and make an external video card setup for my laptop. I know that you can use the vi dock or whatever that thing is called but in order to use that you need to have an express card slot and unfortunately i do not have one on my laptop.
Now here is where my question comes in to play, i have heard that you can get a thunder bolt to express card slot adapter http://www.hwtools.net/Adapter/TH03.html
but again i run in to a problem... i don't have a thunder-bolt connector on my laptop so is there a way to hook up a USB 3.0 to thunderbolt then run the thunderbolt to the express card slot then from there in to one of these set up's http://lifehacker.com/5851902/turn-a-low+powered-laptop...
or is there such thing a a USB 3.0 to express card slot adapter?
just wondering thanks and by the way my laptop is this one (i put an ssd in it) http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1683...
