I wanna build a PC...or buy a HP Z800 with Quadro 4000

i need a PC..which allow me to do a lot of work at the same time..

* 3DS MAXS, for 3D modeling
* AutoDesk Inventor 3D modeling, MAchine Simulation...FEA..for less than 500 parts
* about 5 Excel Files running at sametime..each of them having a few thousand lines.and 15 column.. pilot table..charts..etc.
* Solidwork 3D AND 2D
*AUTOCAD FOR 2D
* 2 AI running...
* 3 Chrome Windows..likely to have more than 10 tabs each
* Storage of HD Music files..and Streaming music over WIFI or lan to my Audio setup background music with work all time..
* Storage of Movie...sending movie to my projector (when movie..., then only Internet..but no work..)
*Running 3 Monitors (2x 21 inch, and one 27inchs)

Should I go for a HP Z800 with dual Xeon + a quadro 4000 Card. from HP outlet.(quite good price for such build).and put in another GTX or ATI card.. if such how;s do they work together..? Application specific Monitors Via Quadro ,and Via GTX...or
i notice some guy talk about Quadro 4000 as GUI and GTX as GPU ....what is that all about..?

or it is wiser to build my own PC....(seem nice ...which can be overclocked....get work done faster with less $$)

Although work i am doing on this PC is nothing critical...which my my personal hobby business..which i custom build some machine and sell them to specific customer with specific need... i do care productivity

i am using a IBM workstation at work and a Macbook Pro at the sametime..

this new machine shall be used at home...

thx..for reading..as i have not build any since 13 yrs ago..

my budget is around usd 3000

Solution

Yeah i mean for what your doing that list is perfect,I have the i7 3820 and i do video rendering,3d modeling in mudbox and i have ALOT of tabs open at once but i mean the 3930k is a powerhouse for a gaming and workstation cpu.And once overclocked holy ***...haha its beast

nice set up..but it do not come with a quadro card for my 3d work...

those HP Z800 workstation with 2 Xeon (lga 1366 6 core ..sort of old..) with quadro 4000 cost me less than usd 2000...

expected those newer xeon shall be faster.... and seem that evga mobo can be overclocked too...interesting.. however with a quadro 4000...which shall over my budget

which seem to be it...., however for multi tasking...and my 3D work...do i need more core..than 6 cores...and a quadro seem to be a good idea

When doing 3D work, cores and speed both matter equally since the programs actually do use all cores at max clock.

So a six core processor at 4.0 ghz will perform just as well as two 6 core processors at 2.0 ghz.

Here's a build around $2900 without monitor/keyboard/etc... but only 32 GB of ram (which should be more than enough but you can easily add another 32 gb if needed) You should be able to overclock the processor to 4.5ghz easily with the cooler...

Do you need a monitor/keyboard/etc for this build? or just the computer and a case.

Sound logical about a fast 6 cores at 4hz may be better than 2x lga1366, 2.6hz xenon with 12 cores.....and I have all the rest, I just need a PC with a case..and a good power supply..32g ram may be ok...may to be ok...not sure until I try..

And comment of picking up that hp z800 with quadro 4000 and 2 xeon e5649?
