Evening All,

Hope you are well, recently i have taken much interest in running 2 GPU's and want some help with this, im a bit of a nub when trying to explain this, but hopefully it will make sense.

I have recently purchased a new mobo, for SLI and its compatable. It has 2 PCI-E slots. I then purchased a Gigabyte 660OC. And now i want to buy another, run SLI.

My PSU is the damn problem, the gpu's state a min of 450w.

My question to you is, should i then be looking to get a 900w PSU or could i save a little money and go for a 700? 800W?

Thanks in advance! :)

A system with 2 x GTX 660s in Sli needs a recommeded 600 watt power supply. The 450w number is for 1 card and everything else. When adding a second card you don't have to factor in the CPU and the rest of the components in twice.

A handy reference list.

Make sure to get a quality unit. Corsair, Seasonic, PC Power and Cooling, XFX, Silverstone, Enermax, OCZ, Antec and the higher rated Rosewill units would all be brands I trust.
