Upgrading Studio Desktop, help?

After a few years, my Studio Desktop has become pretty outdated. Now I'm looking to upgrading it,
but it looks like I may need a new motherboard and PSU before i can get a new PSU and CPU.

Why Are You Upgrading: System is going out of date. No more driver/bios upgrades, originally ran on vista (now windows 8), and has no directx 11 features
