Will this system run Skyrim at decent settings?

Hi all, looking at my old Dell system here; It is dated with 2gb ddr2 533 ram, radeon 512mb video, and Pentium 4 3ghz w/ hyperthreading

I was looking at speading $100 to upgrade to 4gb ddr2 533 ram, and AMD 5450 2gb video -- do you guys think this would be enough to run Skyrim at decent settings??

My motherboard (http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/specs-connolly-e187242-dell/) is maxed out at the above (unless I swap the Pen 4 for a Pentium D - didn't think it was worth the money)

I appreciate your help!

More about will system skyrim decent settings
  1. http://www.systemrequirements.in/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim.html
It might make it if you play in lowest settings. But it did said required a dual core.
  2. Define decent? And at what resolution?

Honestly I would save up for a total rebuild of around $500. Look at the newest system builder on the homepage for a guide.

And don't waste any money on a 5450.
  3. It will be almost unplayable on a Pentium 4. Skyrim needs a powerful CPU and a P4 just does not cut it.
