Sapphire 7950, Fuzzy distorted colors on HDT

I'm using a 24" LCD computer monitor(DVI) with a 40" 1080p LCD (HDMI).

7950 Sapphire 1x HDMI, 1x DVI
Asrock z77 extreme4
3570k

Before we begin I've tried the whole scaling/overscan thing. The problem I'm having is that my HDTV is getting very strange unfixable contrast along with blurry texts that are not black they're yellowish when ever I plug my HDTV via HDMI-HDMI. My desktop monitor DVI-DVI is perfectly fine. Now i DO have an HDMI-DVI plug which I used for my old video card 4890 which this HDTV runs PERFECTLY on. I've tried plugging this HDMI-DVI into the intel integrated graphics and i get the EXACT same results as if i've plugged HDMI-HDMI nasty colors. the strange part, however, is that when i plug this HDMI-DVI into my 7950's DVI slot it runs PERFECT, no color/resolution distortions. I was wondering what the problem is since my video card ONLY has 1 HDMI and 1 DVI. So i can only use 1 of my monitors. I CAN plug my 24" dvi-dvi into my intel integrated graphics but since im using it as my main monitor it won't be using the 7950 which is a waste.

Thanks

EDIT
Ok long story short, 40" tv when plugged HDMI-DVI into 7950 the colors are perfect, when plugging HDMI-HDMI the colors are way too bright, text arent even black anymore it's rainbow.
