the sempron is too slow to bother putting in a graphic card unless you just want to be able to watch HD movies.

Well I just want anything better than what it is now just to play League of Legends which runs at about 35 fps but spikes down randomly so I just want something that can run that game better.

well the cpu will still be a problem but for LoL you can buy a 6450 and it will run on low probably. They will work with that computer. you might still get lag because the cpu is slow.

Well what could I buy to upgrade the computer? Or should I just buy a new computer altogether?
And don't you need 400w for 6450?

It would be best to get a new computer but if you don't have a large budget, getting a $40 card would still be a decent upgrade from the integrated video even though your cpu is slow.

should work, a lot of people run the 6450 on 220w.

If you want a computer to run LoL well, a $400 will do. Depends on what you choose and what you can get. Building it yourself would be the best choice.

There are four issues:
The 220 Watt Power Supply
The AMD Sempron 140/2.7 GHz Socket AM3
The NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE Shared video memory
The Slimline form factor, which means a full size video card will not fit

What is your budget?
What resolution do you game at?
The monitor is maximum resolution is 1366 x 768

This one comes with the low profile bracket in the box:

MSI R6450-MD1GD3/LP Radeon HD 6450 1GB 64-bit

You could upgrade your processor to a Phenom II X4 945 and get a decent graphics card such as this Radeon HD 7750. The Graphics card is a low priofile so it should fit in your case. However, I would suggest you upgrade your PSU as well to at least 350W - 400W because the existing 220W isn't going to cut it. Such as this: Antec NEO ECO 400C 400W

Did you ckeck the HP website to see if the motherboard could handle an upgrade from a single core 45W Sempron to a quad core 95W Phenom?
Because I could not find the right page on the HP website.

How difficult would it be to put these in? I have no experience doing so.
