HELP!!! Which motherboard for my new gaming rig?

Hi everyone,

To start, thank you in advance for contributing to this thread with your most valued opinions!

I am going to build my first gaming rig exactly in one month, so time is coming for me to decide exactly which components to buy.

Most of parts are decided but I am not sure about motherboard.

Computer for gaming and regular stuff like watching movies, browsing the internet etc.
(I hope it runs new games for some time)

CPU 3570K

GPU Gigabyte GTX670 OC

SSD Crucial m4 128 GB

HDD Seagate barracuda 2TB

TOWER NZXT Crafted series phantom 410

RAM patriot viper 3

PSU Corsair Enthusiast 750W

CPU COOLER Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

MOTHERBOARD???? I was thinking either ASRock z77 extreme 4 or gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4-TH.

Please let me know what you think!
I live in the Netherlands by the way, I guess parts are more expensive here than in U.S.A.

  2. Hi Iceclock,

    I have a 24" philips monitor, a logitech g110 and a logitech g9x so I wont be buying peripherals.
I do need a windows 7 64 bit so let me add 80 euros to that xD

My budget is around 1200 euros(maybe I am already over it xD)

well I just check and I already surpassed my budget, so I guess a good but not too expensive motherboard would come in handy right now xD

    there u go my friend.
  5. ASRock z77 extreme 4 is much better if you consider the PRICE TAG

    Great built buddy
  6. its not readily avaible in denmark tho. its more expensive also.
  7. Guys I live in the Netherlands(Holland)

Thanks for the build suggestion, but I want to keep every single part that I posted, even though its a bit over my budget. I just really need to know if there is a mobo (like asrock extreme 4) that will deliver the same way as the gigabyte z77 up4 th.
Plus, will the installation be the same way?And the wiring?
