What graphics card with phenom ii x6

I currently have an Amd phenom I x4 2.5ghz / 4gb ddr2 800mhz / geforce 8500, but I'm looking to upgrade to a 95w 6 core/ddr3 setup in the future, what gfx card would you recommend as a future proof upgrade for my system? I'm looking for 1080p graphics and good to high gfx sethings..

This motherboard does not support dd3 RAM. You might want to look in to building a new PC.

I think you should wait for the upgrade build you mentioned. However, you can buy a new graphics card for your current computer, and swap it in the new build rather than buying another new one when you upgrade to a new build. I would recommend a 7850, which can play games high-ultra without anti-aliasing. Good luck!
