CPU Temperature issues

I have been having issues with with the temperatures that my cpu reaches. When ever I put a game that requires a decent amount of power on it reaches temperatures upwards of 80*C. The fan I use is a cooler master hyper212 with the thermal paste that came in the box. So my question is should I get better thermal paste, try liquid cooling, or get a better fan?

My Specs(Relevant to the situation):
CPU: i7 2600k
Case: Corsair Obsidian 650D
Fan: Cooler Master Hyper212

    That's a decent cooler, should work well. Definitely a problem conducting heat from the CPU to the cooler. The cooler may not be firmly in contact, I always do away with any pre-applied thermal compound and use arctic silver. You can get it at Radio Shack.
  2. How might I remove the thermal paste I applied when I built it?
  3. Use rubbing alcohol with a lint free cloth (even a paper towel).
  4. Thanks a bunch. I will be sure to do it.
