the 7750 uses less power and is generally just as fast. If you don't care about power consumption, just buy which ever is cheaper.

I would get the 7750.

I want to go with the one that doesnt bottleneck my cpu much. :)

gtx 550ti its faster than the 7750 and plus to that the nvidia exclusive techs. both have a min power requeriment of 400w.

@daswilhelm My budget doesnt support it :)
@Dnx so will 550ti do the trick? xD

daswilhelm has a point there. thats true maybe you can get a rebate or something and get it even cheaper. but thats only on the case of the 7770, regarding exclusively to your question of gtx 550ti vs 7750, the gtx 550ti for sure.

P.D. theres always the power supply thing, yours its 430w check the 7770 power requeriment.

the 7770 uses less power than the 550 ti.

the 7750 uses much less power.
December 6, 2012 5:31:55 AM

Actually power isnt the main concern for me. The price diff in India is my main prob. :)
However HD7750 vs 550ti = 550ti ?? :p

7750=550ti in performance.

7750 uses less power and is faster in some games while the 550ti is faster in others.

Unless you have specific games in mind, buy the cheaper one if you don't care about power.

probably the 550ti. Although the 550 ti won't play bf3 at very high settings.

Just go with the gtx 550ti, even on a tie the nvidia exclusive techs take the lead.

What are you talking about?HD 7770 is 3000 Rs. more in India? The price of ZOTAC GTX 550 ti is INR 8239 and that of the Gigabyte AMD HD 7770 is INR 8346[Source:Flipkart].Check your prices, buddy.:)  I myself considered going for an EVGA GTX 550 ti but ultimately bought an HD 6850.I still use it with my Core2Duo.:)

They are basically neck and neck in every game give or a take a couple of wins for the both of them. The 7750 sips power, you don't even need an auxiliary power pin, it get's all of it's power from the pcie slot. To me the obvious choice between the two is the 7750, especially if they are the same price.
December 6, 2012 2:30:33 PM

:D  haha w00t w00t i've gone for HD 7750 :)  Thank you all :)
December 6, 2012 2:33:43 PM

7750 since it doesn't need power from the psu and I would go with sapphire since you get some nice goodies like Hdmi cable, dvi to VGA. Etc. you can get a sapphire 7750 off amazon for just 70£ a bargain in my opinion
