Hi forum people! Recently I bought a very nice graphics card off Amazon (Newegg was out of stock D Anyway, it arrived and I installed everything, but the moment I tried to play a simple game (Minecraft...yea, I know it's pathetic), the game crashed within several minutes.
Things I have tried:
-Reinstall Java 64Bit (did not work)
-Update to newest drivers and reinstall newest drivers (did not work)
-Check for hardware problem (took to reputable computer store, ran diagnostics, did not work)
-Reinstall Motherboard drivers (did not work)
-Run Unigine Heaven Benchmark to see any issues=perfect rendering and score, but crashes for Minecraft
-Reinstall OS (RESULTS PENDING ^_^ NO CRASHES YET)
It is an OpenGL problem=FPS drop to 0, extreme screen tearing, screen goes dark, screen comes back up, MC is not responding-->Force Quit
I called EVGA, they said it might be Firmware on the SSD, it might be memory, it might be a WHOLE LIST OF THINGS....
I have not tried it on different games that require OpenGL outside maybe...Google Earth? xD I will try Spore soon though.
I also ran OC Scanner X to stress test the GPU...Perfect score, no artifacts.
So my question to you fine people today is this...
Should I, or should I not, return the graphics card just for the sake or removing any possible hardware issues IF THE OS-REINSTALL-FIX does not work? It is free, mind you. But I do have until December 11 to get the card back to Amazon, so, give or take, I have about 3-4'ish days left. What should I do?
