I am using Windows 98se on a Asus K7M mainboard with a 550 Mhz Athlon cpu and 512Mb of ram. When I play MP3's, it doesn't matter what player, I get breaks in the music when I do anything else with the computer. Can anyone tell me the cause of this? Is it lack of processor power? The sound is built into the mainboard, is this the problem. Would it help to get an sound card?

Thanks

I didn't do it.<P ID="edit"><FONT SIZE=-1><EM>Edited by briapro on 01/16/02 06:25 PM.</EM></FONT></P>

Check your playlist; maybe all tracks are drum n' bass?
