I have a 6670 video card. Not a gamer except for some of the silly FB stuff. For work, I was fortunate enough to get 2 27" displays, driven at 2560 x 1440. The card seems to drive them OK, but when any flash or video runs, the interface can get slow.

Question: Do I need more graphics power? Is the 1GB on this card not enough? Rest of system is:

ASrock Z77 Mobo
3770K CPU, stock speed
16GB RAM
OpenSUSE 12.2

My guess is I do, but do not want to spend more than $200.00 on another card.

Looking at Radeon 7770 or GTX 650Ti.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

i dont think the problem is your graphics card at all. a single 6670 is more than capable to run 2 monitors at 1440p easily for work purpose.
hell even intels integreted graphics can run 2 monitors easily .
so i think the problem is something else .
not sure what but try to find out !!

Thanks..that's what I thought as well, then it occurred to me this morning, that I'm also running the Linux equivalent of Aero. That will consume cycles big time. Going to run a test with the eye-candy turned off, and see what happens.

Thanks again
