Which of these two systems is better? :o

im going to buy a computer for my cousins birthday. i need opinions and help on which of these 2 is better. she likes playing gta 4 so i need to know which of these can play it better.

First one:

i just need one because she wants to play gta 4. i have around $300. i dont need the settings to be high or anything. just good enough to play the game. neither one is good enough for just that?

It's pretty hard to have a pre built pc that will meet those requirements, gta iv is poorly optimized, and needs a decent discrete graphics card.
Unfortunately you won't find any with a decent card at that price.

so around how much cash will i need to spend to be able to play the game?

I'm not familiar with pre built systems, never bought one.
But in terms of parts, i'd say something around 500$-700$.

so if i were to buy this a custom pc with these specs, would she be able to play her games?

Cpu: Quad Core Phenom II x4 3.0Ghz
Ram: 8GB make the computer really fast
CD/DVD drive: MSI drive, can write/read cd, dvd
Operating System: Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
Power Supply: 450 watt ultra power supply
1TB harddrive


i would just need to know what type of graphics card i would need

I'd say at least a 6670/7750/7770 from amd.
i'm not a fan of that brand of psus, get one from antec, corsair, xfx, fsp, seasonic brand.

add decent graphic card like radeon 7770 and GTA IV will playable with decent framerate :)

honestly something around 600+ for prebuilt system. Possibly some local electronic stores (large retailers) having some clearance deals??? check it out.

but this comes with CPU graphics which is HD2000 ??? very old >.> just an example.

if you build yourself you could put together an AMD system and get a better price and value out of it for around 450
