Q: Is this build good enough for gaming purposes? (latest games)

Q: Will i3 3220 & 7870xt bottleneck?

For gaming the i3 will choke almost as fast as the MSI. you have to at least be i5 for quality gaming:

thats fine for gaming, i would have chosen an fx 8350 however

No, not in gaming performance. I would stick with the i5-3470 its a pretty solid CPU. You may want another PSU, try looking at this (it's such a useful list):

i wouldnt get an i5 3470. op if your getting any i5 processor make sures its the 3570k always get an unlocked cpu if ur going to spend around the 200 mark. the 3470 is locked waste of money. the fx 8350 is much better then the i5 for video editing and only a little worse for gaming. you can easily get full fps with any game on the market with the fx8350 i would go the amd route and its cheaper

I guess im gonna stick with i5 3470 because i dont have a budget for the 3570k.

save up money dont cheap out. when u buy the 3470 after a month ur going to wish u bought the 3570k so you can test out overclocking and get another 1ghz out of the processor
