thx jimmy but ive already done a system restore prior to my post and still
isnt working right, oddly enough it seems that the saved games on the other
screens
are still functioning since my daughter was able to play her game so it
appears the
problem is only on one of the game screens

Hi Bernadette,

True about the system restore! My mind has been on vacation with
me in Florida all this week. :-) Let's try a repair instead then...

Your best solution would be to repair Windows using these instructions:

How to repair Windows XP:
Unplug from your Internet connection, and then repair Windows:
using this method: http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Afterwards, boot up your system, turn on your XP Internet Firewall,
plug back into your Internet connection and install all Critical and

time, ive
completely unistalled it and am going to reinstall to see if it helps,
yikes, so a repair
wipes out all updates? does it do anything to any other apps already
installed like
my aol? curious, thx for advice

Hi Bernadette,

The repair will replace files updated via Windows Updates and
replace them with the originals, which is why I suggest you visit
the Windows Update site afterwards. Likewise, if AOL uses
modified versions of Windows system files, it might be affected.

hi jimmy,
thx so much for the advice, thank goodness it actually didn't come to that,
I had what
my loving mother terms a 'brainfart' lol, some how the file for that
particular saved game was corrupted or something and wasn't uninstalling
properly so I just manually removed it
and started over, I'm so glad that worked it took me days to download all my
updates from
when I had to totally reinstall xp last year, again you were great and
thanks so much.
