I have a power supply with 400w and it only has one 6-pin PCIe so if i buy a GeForce GTX 560 Ti would the video card only work with one 6-pin PCIe or would it need two 6-pin PCIe for the card to work???

Yes you need 2 x 6-pin PCI-E power connectors otherwise the card won't work at all. Note that you could also convert some of your molex plugs to PCI-E they sell adapters for that but I'm not sure I would do it on a cheap power supply. What's the brand and model of your PSU? They also recommend a 500-Watt PSU for that card. If you plan to add a nice video card in your system I would suggest you replace the PSU as well if you don't want to fry the card. Get a good brand like Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, etc...

Here's a good quality one, good bang for the bucks also:

You need at least a 500w Power Supply to support your GTX 560 Ti. If you have a lot of hungry components you might want to get a 650w or higher. Don't scrimp on your power supply or you'll just have to upgrade it later on. Do it right now and avoid issues that come from being underpowered. I saw this model on New Egg.
