Sending a Business Card via SMS or IR?

I am trying to SMS a Business Card between a NOKIA 3360 on ATTWS Free 2 Go
and a NOKIA 6010 or 3595 on T-Mobile To Go with no luck. I can send and
receive via each phone to its self but not to each other. Can somebody tell
me if the "versions?" between the two are different and this is the problem?
Or is it something with the networks? I can't really see that the
technology should matter. If I am having this problem with SMS, would I
have the same issue if I tried doing it via IR with the 3360 and a modern
GSM with IR? I appreciate any help you can give and thanks in advance.
