See if the i5-3470 is cheaper than the fx-8320, and check for a h77 mobo if it's cheaper than the am3+ one, the i5 is better for gaming, if the intel cpu+mobo is cheaper, i'd get the i5.

i can't get combo's on mycom.be or mycom.nl the fx 8320 is 18€ cheaper then the 3470

Well then stay with your current cpu, if you need to cut the prices, you can get the FX-6300 for less.
Also a 660 gtx will have about the same performance if you need to lower the total budget down(usually they're cheaper than the 7870)
Also i recommend going with a better ssd, like than sandisk extreme 120GB.

I put this on another thread, see if it checks out - you can definitely go Intel on your budget, you may have to leave out the SSD but you can always add one in later:

Case: Corsair Carbide 200R - € 59,90
PSU: Corsair CX600 V2 - € 64,90
Motherboard: Asrock H77 Pro 4/MVP - € 77,90
CPU: 3.2GHz Intel Core i5-3470 - € 179,90
RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz 1.5V - €47,49
HD: 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue - € 67,90
Optical: LG GH24NS70 12X DVD Burner - € 16,99
Video Card: XFX Double Dissipation Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition - € 217,90

Total: € 742,83

my friend likes the ssd the most so if it is going to cost too much then he is going to add an hdd later (his pc that he uses now only has a 100gb hdd so not a big change)

The bad thing is the somewhat limited capacity of SSDs won't leave you much room after OS and Windows / application install.

i have windows 7 running on 1 80 gb hdd and i still have 30gb free after installing ms office pro plus 5 games (all are about 4gb) a lot of programs and stuff so it isn't impossible and if he adds one like 3 month after it he will be more then fine
January 23, 2013 4:46:03 PM

Changed the 8320 for an 6300 (136.99) or would i get the 8120 for 148.99
and the ssd is now a 840 250gb (159.99€)

thanks for the help

Don't get the FX-8120, get the FX-6300 from piledriver architecture, the fx-8120 is older and it has less performance vs the fx-6300.
Instead of spend on a 250GB, get a better card like the 7950, and a ssd with mlc nand, which is better, the samsung 840 is a low cost ssd for causal consumers, get a ssd with 120/128GB, the sandisk extreme is really cheap on europe...

The get the sandisk, it's a good deal.
If you can get the 7950, get it, the alternative is the 660 ti, it's still better than the 7870.
If not, get a 7870 and save the rest.

yes mycom.nl or mycom.be (the be one is way closer only 20minutes away from me)

January 23, 2013 5:13:30 PM

Here's the 660 ti : http://www.mycom.be/evga-geforce-gtx660-ti-2gb.html

With the sandisk extreme 128GB, the rest can go for that card.

Better/cheaper psus :

http://www.mycom.be/computer-1/componenten/voeding/cors... (it's modular)
http://www.mycom.be/computer-1/componenten/voeding/cors... (non modular)
http://www.mycom.be/computer-1/componenten/voeding/cors... (high quality psu)

If you can spend in another better case : http://www.mycom.be/corsair-carbide-200r.html

And you're all set.
January 23, 2013 5:22:11 PM

i think i 'm going to buy the parts in Nerderland because for the same build i pay like 750€ with the 7950

This is what you need to do is simple :

amd fx 8320 165.99 > change for the FX-6300.
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3,sAM3+ 83.99
Corsair Vengeance DDR3,1600-8GB 44.99 (low profile)
Sapphire Radeon HD7870 OC,2GB 228.99 > change for the 7950 or the 660 ti evga
Cooler Master Elite 430 with Window 39.99
Western Digital Blue 1TB - 3.5inch 64.99
Antec Earthwatts 650WATT 74.99 > replace for one of the psus mentioned above
Samsung 840 series 120GB 92.99 > replace for the sandisk
random 18.99 € dvd rw drive

That's all.

its an ok powersupply but i gave u a better quality ps, id go with my pick jalison if u want quality theres only one cx powersupply i recommand is the cx430 and was an older design, the new cx series includes the 500-600s are of poor build quality and arent as good as the 400 series.
