Wireless disconnecting frequently

Hello,

I have a Gateway NV 59 series laptop, core i5, running win 7 ultimate. My wireless is getting disconnected very frequently maybe every 3-4 mins somethimes even quicker. Another laptop running win 7 is running fine and does not have this issue, so obviously it is not problem with my internet or router its some problem with my laptop. I am not a geek so if someone can give me some detailed instructions regarding solving dis issue it would be really helpful

I know nothing of performing disgusting acts but I can try and help you with your wireless signal issue.

Do you know what kind of wireless adapter is installed on the computer? Check by going into device manager and looking under network adapters. When you find out post the make and model.
