I have a g router placed at far end of the house. I am not getting enough signals in my bedroom with g adopter. Can I get better signals if I go for N adopter. 54 Kb/ps data is enough for me as I usually surf net for text.
Although wireless G tech is backwards compatible with wireless N tech, In order to take full advantage of wireless N you would need bother a wireless N access point and a wireless N adapter.
If you upgraded both to wireless N then yes you will get a slightly better range because of the signal intensity of the wireless N standard.
You have a few other options too like installing DD-WRT if your router supports it for better range, buying a better antenna if your router supports external antenna, or buying a wireless adapter that has a stronger antenna, or setting up a wireless repeater for extended range.
