Hello!

Couple of things to start off with, make sure your drivers are up to date,
you can find more information on this at
http://windows.dasmirnov.net/guides/drivers.php.

Might also be worth having a look in Event Viewer (Control Panel / Admin
Tools) and see if you can see anything related there.

Posting your dxdiag would also be useful to do this click Start
> click Run
-> enter dxdiag and press enter
--> Click 'save all information" and save point it to your desktop for
example
---> either attach or paste the dxdiag file to a post.

A quick word on Service Pack 2, if the firewall is causing problems we can
either troubleshoot that, or you can simply disable the firewall. It's a
good idea to have Service Pack 2 installed as it does contain lots of fixes
and improvements.

Hope that helps.

Copy and paste it in parts if needed, the top half is the most important
bit. 8-)
