My 08 laptop is struggling with my games so i've decided to build my first desktop. Its a big learning curve for me but fun. anyways im looking for something that i wont have to upgrade for 4-5 years ish hopefully. Any advice on this build would help.
Im worried about compatibility and quality of the parts.

Approximate Purchase Date: next 2 or 3 weeks.

Budget Range: <1300, 1200 would be better.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming mostly.

Are you buying a monitor: No, maybe later. i have a Play station 3D TV ill use as a monitor for now.

Do you need to buy OS: No, got win 7 ultimate i can use.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: looking at new egg and tiger direct, open to ideas, preferably cheap and reliable.

Location: City, State/Region, Country - spokane washington usa.

Parts Preferences: nah.

Overclocking: no thanks

SLI or Crossfire: i want the option.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: i want the case to stand out, quite and cold and cool B^)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: To replace an exhausted laptop.

1300 max. not counting, mouse, keyboard, OS, or monitor.
@blake,
i dont want to Over clock, your case is not what im looking for, its kinda scary, i already have an HDD to use with my SSD, and i dont need an OS.

Also, if you could talk to me and tell me why you recommend it over what i picked that would be appreciated! i would like to learn why you chose something different.

While thats a sweet CPU deal, alas its instore only and im not near a store...
Is there anything wrong with my case and power unit? you recommended others but why? i know the i7 3770k has ddr3 1600 rating but i figured its better to get slightly faster for 5 bucks more in case the cpu performs better them rated.. am i wrong here?
you both recommended the same mobo, is there a reason that one is preferred?
I might just have to go for that sexy radeon 7950 3gb gpu afterall...
