NO with that PSU :)

how much is your budget? is it for gaming/what?

That PSU = Death! And yes, if this is for gaming it is well overkill.

Actually I am assuming it is not for gaming since you have no GPU, in that case your MOBO is a bit overpriced, IMO.

Can you recommend another PSU?

My budget is $1,000 but can extend to even $1,100

Yes this is for gaming

I do have a GPU that I have bought already. I was just going to use it for now and upgrade later.

are you going to Overclock? or enjoy your pc without workaround? do you have monitor? what is it?

if for gaming get a 3570k as you will see no benefit from the 3770k as games cant use that many threads only need 4 max not 8 so it going to waste.

Yes, get the i5-3570k, a non-sabertooth model Asus, they have cheaper boards with more features, the thermal armor is kind of a gimmick (PS mixed up threads but I still think the Maximus V is overkill). I would go minimal on this computer, you can be well under 1000 and still have a great rig, and it will hurt less when you have to upgrade everything in the future (well MOBO and CPU at least, not sure when DDR3 is leaving, doesn't look like soon). Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, Antec, all make quality PSU's, just get a 6-700w from one of them, depending on if you want to SLI in the future or OC.

Best solution

or if you pick i5 and z77 not from microcenter :)

No, I don't plan on doing much overclocking at first, maybe in the future.

Yes, I have a 23' monitor by Acer.

OC : maybe in the future :)  i put great 212 evo cpu cooler on that build, so that you can OC whenever you are ready to try

That's a rock solid build for the price, you cannot go wrong with those components, look into adding an SSD in the future if you do not already plan to.

Okay sounds great!

Is there anyway there might be a little cheaper GPU, around $150?

there is 7850 2GB at 170 something :)

Of course, there are tons of GPU's at that price point, but that build for less than 1000 is an ideal gaming machine, GPU is most important for gaming.
