Hi,
I'm looking into setting up a VPN between an office LAN and a home
user's PC.
Office Server is NT4 Server, connected to internet via ADSL router.
Home PC is WinXP (possibly home version..) connection could be via USB
modem, but this can be flexible (I'd prefer to see a hardware router)
My suggestion is to set up a VPN.
As usual, price has to be low, and should be scaleable to a few
(roughtly 2 concurrent) users.
I've been looking at WinGate VPN, the price is about right, and it looks
fairly ok, but has anyone used this and can share their exeperience?
If there are other options?
Our Office Router is an (old) ASUS AAM6000EV, which from reading does
*not* support PPTP or L2TP IPSec.... I've not looked into how this
effects VPN traffic, although I'm guessing its bad news.
I've seen a few routers that appear to support VPN in hardware... does
this mean that I'd configure on the web/telnet frontend, then "simply"
configure the remote home PC...?
