Hey,

I am thinking of building a new computer with a budget of £500 and this is what I have been looking at:

Intel i5 3350p
MSI amd 7870 twin frorz OC
Best Value 999 case
8gb (2x4gb) Corsair Vengeance low profile
600W Alpine PS05
Asus P8H61-MX
Samsung 24x Speed DVD±RW ReWriter Internal SATA 5.25"
Seagate 500GB Barracuda SATA-600 7200RPM

The System works out at around £480, so I have £20 pounds to play around with.

Tell me what you think.

I recommend changing the psu, it's not because of the wattage, but that brand, i never heard from it, in my opinion, you should get a decent psu from brands like antec, xfx, corsair, fsp,pc power and cooling, seasonic, etc.
You can have a good psu with 550w under 50£ : http://pcpartpicker.com/uk/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550s...
or if you need a bit cheaper : http://pcpartpicker.com/uk/part/corsair-power-supply-cm...

Get a better motherboard, that one needs to have the bios flashed in order to use the i5 ivybridge, especially that one.
My suggestion(there are others) : http://pcpartpicker.com/uk/part/asrock-motherboard-b75m...

It's recommended going with at least that chipset, some h61 might have the bios flashed, but i don't think it's worth risking it.
Yes, that one will also do.

Thanks for the reply, this is my first build and I am a bit unsure. What about this powers supply, I would like the PC to be pretty quiet and do you think I will need any extra fans, I have already got 3 built into the case.

That psu will do, but this one is better/cheaper in my opinion : http://www.scan.co.uk/products/550w-xfx-pro-series-core...

Either the two will do, but i recommend going with the xfx one.
The brand bequiet doesn't mean it's more quiet than other psus.
