this is my current build.

im looking to:
-upgrade the cpu (found an i5 2320 for $100)
-upgrade the motherboard to sli or crossfire another 6850
-upgrade the psu if needed.

Is the 2320 on the cpu support list for your motherboard? Check that on the Asrock site

Unless you have a retail copy of windows its locked to the motherboard so if you replace that then you need a new copy of windows too .

I would probably replace the psu with an 80+ bronze rated unit of about 500 watts
and then fit a single 7850 or 650ti for graphics

You could also double the RAM but the benefit is marginal

ouch. i dont think i should upgrade the motherboard then. not worth the cost of another windows.

that cpu is compatible, but i think i will fork out the extra cash and get a 2500k instead of the $100 2320.

my 500 watt psu isnt good enough? ill replace with 80+ if i need to though.

im pretty happy with my 6850 for now, with the i5 i should be able to max most of the stuff i play out pretty easy. my current cpu hold me back a bit.

and i think i will double the RAM. :)

thanks for your reply! :)
