$600 budget, need amd and intel options

Hello, I've been kind of overwhelmed with a lot of different computer options I can build in the $600 price range and I'm not sure where to go.


I would like to know what are my best options for both an AMD computer and an Intel computer. Something that can run games decently (far cry 3 med settings?! around 50fps?) . I mostly play on my consoles though. But I'll also be using it for creating apps, coding and rendering (photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign).

Any tips? I MIGHT be able to stretch toward $700, but that's my absolute max. I will more than likely go to Microcenter, but if I can go somewhere else, I'm not biased.

Also, I'll need a good OS too (M$).

Good point...need to make some sacrifices somewhere. I can always upgrade later I guess.

7 over 8 any day.

Yeah I went for the $700 budget mark since try to fit the most in. Problem with upgrading later is having to resell parts which I find more of a hassle so I tend to save up till I can get what I want.

Sacrifices you should not make
-cheapo motherbaord that will burnout
-cheapo PSU that will burnout
-1gd of vram that will suck for editing purposes
-not getting 8gb of ram
